A look at a company engaged in digitalising the cultural sector
Culturius is an ambitious company looking to transform the way we interact with culture. Founded in 2019 by Serge Vanderheyden, this web platform has quickly established itself as a major player in the digitalisation of the creative, artistic and cultural sector.
More than 250,000 events referenced
Working with a dedicated team of 6 passionate people, Culturius has built an innovative web platform that references over 250,000 cultural events across Europe. Whether you’re a user looking for cultural inspiration or a professional looking to promote your offerings, Culturius provides a complete and personalised experience.
A key feature of Culturius is its ‘user access’, which allows users to consult a complete catalogue of cultural events, register and share their favourite offers, give their opinion and even take part in quizzes and contests. This active interaction with the platform creates a true cultural community in which enthusiasts connect and engage with each other.
More than just a platform
Besides its platform, Culturius offers an online magazine covering European cultural news. With no fewer than 30 talented journalists, the magazine offers a unique perspective on trends, key events and key players in the cultural world. The magazine allows users to stay informed and inspired, while strengthening the link between the platform and its audience.
A “game changer” in the cultural sector
Not only does the company gather and share cultural information, it also stands out for its qualitative approach. The team has developed a unique ability to sort and aggregate cultural information while reformulating it according to cultural codes. This allows users to discover relevant offers that match their tastes and interests, creating a fully personalised cultural experience.
The company’s ambitions are not limited to a local scale, but are international in scope. While many cultural agendas focus on national offerings, Culturius embraces the cultural diversity of Europe in its entirety. By bringing together the cultural offerings of various countries such as Belgium, France, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg, it is striving to become the first web platform to bring together the whole of Europe’s cultural offering.
In addition, the company has succeeded in building up a substantial database on the sector. This valuable database opens up endless opportunities for research and analysis of cultural trends, helping players to better understand and respond to the changing needs of the public.
Vivatech, their first trade fair abroad
Vivatech is the company’s first international trade fair. Taking part in this type of event is an ideal opportunity to boost its visibility, meet inspirational companies and build contacts with potential customers.
The support offered by Hub.brussels’ hospitality cluster enabled Culturius to prepare as well as possible and to understand the specific challenges associated with this trade fair.
A company full of ambition
Culurius is currently covering cultural events in 4 countries (Belgium, France, the Netherlands and Luxembourg) with the ambition of being present throughout Europe. Its objective is to become a key cultural platform at European level. To achieve this, a number of features are being developed to meet the needs of its customers, including an online ticketing service, a streaming system and the organisation of regular events focusing on cultural issues.
