Belgian founder of the app The Fork, now acquired by Tripadvisor, Quentin launched the start-up Foodiz in February 2020, a so-called “dark kitchen”. This concept consists of using a central kitchen where different restaurant brands that Foodiz has created operate and which are solely dedicated to home delivery. Composed of 6 restaurants, Foodiz offers a brand of sandwiches, wraps, soups, bowls, Japanese bento and daily dishes with unused ingredients from other kitchens.
Reinventing corporate food is the challenge that the Brussels start-up has set itself.
Their strategy?
– To launch a digital approach to corporate catering, i.e. to offer each company its own online canteen personalised in the company’s colours.
– Add to this a specific culinary approach by working only with local and artisanal products. Knowing that worldwide, 90% of corporate catering is industrialized, not from short circuits and not sustainable, Foodiz tries to bring employees closer to healthy food from local producers. The origin and quality of the products that Foodiz uses in its meals is essential. It is worth noting that one of the chefs working in the Foodiz kitchens was also a former Michelin-starred chef!
